ServiceCenter Clerk

 

General Description:

The Service Center Clerk is responsible for video rentals and returns, lotto sales, bill payments, sending and receiving Western Union transfers, answering customer’s inquiries, complete refund transactions, completing price correction transactions, and in some stores – making coffee in the coffee bar.  This position requires exceptional customer service skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

Qualifications:

·        CURRENT FOOD HANDLER CARD

·        18 years of age or older.

·        Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, (depending on business needs), including weekends, days, or evenings.

·        Good customer relations skills, with outgoing, friendly personality and a desire to serve the public.

·        Neat, clean, and professional business-like appearance.

·        Good work record/references especially with respect to honesty and dependability.

·        Must be able to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodation if needed.

·        Ability to lift 50 lbs.

·        Consistent standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.

 

Essential Functions:

·        Adheres to superior customer service standards at all times.

·        Greets each customer in the department or sales floor, using names whenever possible; extends thanks to each customer upon completion of the order/purchase.

·        Handles all form of tender with accuracy in accordance with all company policy and state and federal regulations.

·        Examines various forms of identification in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations.

·        Maintains a balanced till in accordance with company guidelines.

·        Maintains friendly and respectful decorum at all times toward customers, co-workers, vendors and all others.

·        Handles, in a positive manner, those inherent levels of stress associated with employment situations.

 

Other Employment Responsibilities:

·        Complies with laws/regulations and company policies including those regarding confidentiality, honesty, and business ethics.

·        Maintains responsive and cooperative relationship with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, customers and other personnel.

·        Accomplishes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner within standards established by supervisor.

·        Demonstrates the “Please the customer first” credo.

·        Other related duties as assigned.
