Meat Cleanup Person

General Description:

Under the direction of the Store Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Person is responsible for store maintenance as assigned including sanitation, store and department cleanliness and floor maintenance.  It is the Maintenance Person's role to ensure that the store and its departments are clean and in good order by performing assigned tasks in a timely, proper manner.

Qualifications:

·        Ability and willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

·        Current Foods Handler Card.

·        Must be at least 18 years of age.

·        Previous custodial experience preferred, but not required.

·        Ability to work independently, a self-motivated worker.

·        Experience preferred but not required in working around cleaning and sanitation products.

·        Good work record/references, especially with respect to honesty and dependability.

·        Ability to continually stand, bends, stoops and lifts 50+ lbs.

·        Ability to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodation if needed.

Essential Functions:

·        Cleans and sanitizes meat department preparation room, including tables and equipment.

·        Other general custodial duties as assigned.

·        Maintains friendly and respectful decorum at all times toward customers, co-workers, vendors and all others.

·        Handles, in a positive manner, those inherent levels of stress associated with employment situations.

Other Employment Responsibilities:

·        Complies with laws/regulations and company policies including those regarding confidentiality, honesty and business ethics.

·        Maintains responsive and cooperative relationships with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, customers and other personnel.

·        Accomplishes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner within standards established by supervisor.
