| Pharmacy Technician A General Description:
Assist Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists with stocking and dispensing pharmaceuticals. Offer customer service by processing prescriptions, payments, and initiating third-party billing. Qualifications: · Current Food Handler Card. · Must be a licensed technician in WashingtonState or have 3 + years of experience plus certification from another state. · Outgoing personality with a sincere desire to serve the public and superior customer relations skills. · Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts and days of the week/weekends. · Neat, clean businesslike appearance. · Ability to work quickly, independently and with limited supervision. · Ability to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodation if needed. · Ability to work in coordination and cooperation with supervisors, co-workers, vendors and other business associates. · Consistent standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs. Essential Functions: · Prescription processing including phone orders, counting/filling prescriptions, labeling bottles, routine patient inquiries, third party billing, and processing of payments. · Will refer new prescriptions, questions from providers and customers regarding health care, and changes in prescriptions to the Pharmacist. · Provide prompt, professional service to customers while protecting PHI (Private Health Information) and complying with the “State of Washington Statutes, Rules and Regulations Governing Practices of Pharmacy.” · Maintain customer confidentiality at all times as required by HIPPA. · Efficient and accurate data entry and record keeping in compliance with company policies and procedures. · Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist, the technician may participate in inventory control including ordering, receiving, pricing, checking expiration dates, stock maintenance and storage.
