| Loss Prevention Associate
General Description: The LP Associates are responsible for detecting, observing and apprehending shoplifters in our stores. This position reports to the Loss Prevention Manager. Essential Functions: - Detect, observe, and apprehend customers shoplifting in our stores.
- Detect, observe, and apprehend customers committing other crimes in our stores (i.e.: check fraud, lewd conduct, vandalism, etc.)
- Properly and promptly complete incident reports using LPMS or other incident database.
- Support corporate safety program by: Coaching and reporting team members observed in Acting in an unsafe manner; monitor completion of daily safety checklists or inspections; provide specific observations of safety procedures as directed by an LPS.
- Support Internal Theft Detection program by: immediately reporting suspicious activity by team members; making specific observations of team members as directed by an LPS; act as witness during interviews being conductd by an LPS.
- Attend all training sessions as developed and offered.
- Assist in training of new LPA's.
- Represents the company in a professional manner when dealing with customers, police, etc.
- Monitors safety practices of store team members.
Other Employment Responsibilities: - Complies with laws/regulations and company policies including those regarding confidentiality, honesty, and business ethics.
- Maintains responsive and cooperative relationships with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, customers, and other personnel.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Knowledge and compliance of laws, regulations, and company policies regarding loss prevention, including honesty, confidentiality, and business ethics.
- Able to maintain good working relationship with supervisors, store managers, customers, vendors, etc.
- Ability and willingness to work a varied, flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Must be 21 years of age
