| BenefitsLead General Description:Primary administrator for union and non-union health and welfare benefits. Responsible for enrollments, benefits mailings, file management, filing, administration of union pension and health and welfare contracts. Provides administrative support for Director of Payroll and Benefits and other duties as assigned. Health & Welfare: Administers all non-union benefits. This includes coordinating annual open enrollment, monthly eligibility, terminations, billing, and reconciling employee contributions. Communicates with multiple vendors, participates in quarterly benefits review, and contributes to annual vendor and benefit reviews.Create Union health and welfare bills and pension contributions monthly. Communicate with various Union trusts to ensure accurate billing and eligibility. Voluntary Benefits:Coordinate annual open enrollments. Reconcile deductions and account balances for flexible spending account, life insurance, short and long term disability, cancer and accident insurance. Set up and remove deductions in payroll system and appropriately account for changes. Assist in the annual evaluation of benefits programs. Other: Ensures legal compliance of various federal and state laws (FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc). Work closely with the payroll, human resources, and accounting groups. Answer benefits questions from team members. Edit all benefit related deductions in the payroll system. Coordinate other company benefit programs. - Comprehensive knowledge of federal regulations regarding FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, and confidentiality standards desired
- High level of expertise with Microsoft Excel required, experience with Microsoft Access and ADP payroll desired
- Prior benefits administration experience, minimum 2 years
