| Demo Clerk Description:Customer service and salesmanship are the primary duties of the Demo Clerk. Customer needs and requests are to be attended to in a courteous and assertively friendly manner. The Demo Clerk is expected to use good salesmanship techniques in promoting products. He/she is responsible for the preparation and selling of products, proper display, sanitary handling of the product, overall cleanliness, and the completion of various assigned tasks under the direction of his/her supervisors.
Essential Functions: Greets customers, using names whenever possible; assists customers with their needs and requests; extends thanks to each customer when service is completed. Maintains the product in a sanitary condition and adheres to cleanliness standards of the department. Uses good salesmanship techniques to promote the purchase of products. Prepares food as requested by supervisor in accordance with department standards. Completes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner as requested by supervisor. Maintains friendly and respectful decorum at all times toward customers, co-workers, vendors, and all others.Handles, in a positive manner, those inherent levels of stress associated with employment situations.
Other Employment Responsibilities: Complies with laws/regulations and company policies including those regarding confidentiality, honesty, and business ethics.Maintains responsive and cooperative relationships with supervisors, co-workers,vendors, customers, and other personnel. Accomplishes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner within standards established by supervisor. Participates in training and professional development. Demonstrates the "Please the customer first" credo.Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Current Food Handler Card.Exceptional organizational skills. Exemplary communication skills. Ability to work independently, but to also work in coordination and cooperation with associates. Outgoing personality with a sincere desire to serve the public. Ability to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodation if needed. Some retail or counter sales experience preferred. Someone who specifically wants part-time employment. Top-notch customer relations and salesmanship skills. Neat, clean professional appearance. Excellent work record/reference.Interest in experimenting with foods/ likes to cook. |
